Too much of a good thing
I wasn't sure I was going to let this post go live. But to keep this journey succesful I feel I need to disclose all. I've fallen off the wagon. And put on almost 2kgs. I knew it would happen at some point, but I expected it to be where I was too busy to exercise and too stressed to make correct food choices and go for convenient instead of healthy. I gave in to temptation in Melbourne.11 glorious days spent with some amazing people and each social catch up came with all kinds of yummy treats and calorie laden drinks.First trip to Koko BlackFirst taste of Fried Ice creamA bar list thicker than War & PeaceA local Barista who knew me by name after my second dayAn Italian deli laden with all kinds of oils and flavoursMACARONS! Despite going for a run 10/11 days, the weight still managed to climb back on. I feel it is important to share my failures with you, just as I share my sucesses. We all have slip ups.We just can't dwell on them.I have already worked out what went wrong, and I have corrected my eating habits and increased my strength training to get back on track. I do think that it is important to work out what you did wrong, and think about it as well as all the good things that you do. However, always think on the positive side, because you do so very well MOST of the time!!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing so well and remember that getting to and maintaing a healthy weight is a life-long journey. Acknowledge the (very small) weight gain and move on from it.
ReplyDeleteYou are inspiring a lot of the girls on Twitter and I'm sure readers on here as well, so I'm glad you shared the reality of it all.
Wishing you all the best, keep it up girl! xx
