June Empties

Dove Go Fresh Deodorant - Cucumber & Green Tea
I am pretty much a sucker for anything Cucumber and/or Green Tea related so this was a win for me.
Roll On creeps me out - Germaphobe here, but I am definitely not monogamous with deodorant.
Pretty much whatever I pick up on a grocery shop.

Activance with Rhodanide
This was sent to me for review consideration, it was love at first spritz.
I ran out during the week and I am missing it so much.
A definite repurchase come payday.

Imperial Leather "Foamburst"
Jasmine & Green Tea
I loved the idea of this, while I am not usually a fan of "foaming" products, I decided to give this a go because the scent intrigued me [See, there is that Green Tea thing again]
And I hated it.
Its a personal preference thing - It smells like cheap toilet spray.
Ick. So, whilst its only been used for one of its "40+" washes, its hitting the bin
They do have other scents, and I would imagine it would be great to use as a shaving aid [I am an EpiLady gal]

Maybelline Express Black Polish [Not Pictured]
I love this polish.
It really is an express polish and I am sad to see it finish.
Perfect for Konading as it maintains its deep colour unlike some others.
I won't be repurchasing just yet, I have many black polishes I can use for now.

Sally Hansen Kwik Off
I bought this after seeing the rave reviews all through the beauty blogosphere.
I am not a fan.
Whilst I can understand what they were trying to do, I just don't think it followed through to the final product.
I find it extremely messy, the smell is stronger & more chemical than other removers and it fails to remove polish faster or more conveniently than the regular remover/cotton pad combo IMHO.
It's not empty, but I am throwing it out - I am sick of getting remover all over my fingers (it dries my skin out wayyy too much) I gave it a go but I won't be repurchasing.
Maybe natural nailed people will have better luck with this one

Napoleon Perdis Cover Stick in "Look Two"
This is my foundation of choice.
I love it, have already repurchased.

Napoleon Perdis Advanced Mineral Makeup.
I got a sample of this when I purchased my new Cover Stick.
OMFG. I am in love.
Wish I had of trialled this before purchasing the Cover Stick again.
Next time, I will be buying this instead.

Nad's Facial Wand - Wax
This is a definite beauty cupboard staple for me.
Perfect for those have-a-hot-date*-no-appointments-available-at-beautician type scenarios.

*Ha, Like I date, but you know, sometimes you wanna get rid of a monobrow for yourself....

What's In My Bag

Alot of my fellow tweethearts/bloggers have been unveiling what it is they keep in their handbags.

Lucky for me, I switched out handbags last night so I can save you from the thousand and one bobby pins that usually take up residence in my handbag.

And just be warned - like most of my life its an Animal Print/New York overload!

First up, My handbag - It is a 2009 Guess leather bag, I bought it on holiday and whilst I have bought plenty of other bags since, I keep coming back to it.
Whilst I am not usually a fan of Gaudy Guess, there was something about this one.
It has all I require in a bag:
It's large
It's black
It is sturdy enough to carry around all my crap things
It was actually marketed as an overnight bag. Not even!
Please it has endured 2 years of being slugged around and hasn't got any signs of wear.

Starting top left hand corner:
Wayfarer style sunnies - El Cheapo from Cotton On since I broke my latest D&Gs
MacBook w/ New York stickers
iPhone w/ Leopard Print cover
Summer In The City - Candice Bushnell [I almost AWAYS carry a book; even before Rory made it cool]
My "Snow Leopard" Tipsy Toes
Avado Nipple Care Cream [for my lips people!]
My 2011 Diary [New York, of course]
My keys for the office
iPhone Charger
Office ID/Security Pass
Eclipse Mints
Hand Sanitiser [I ran out of Aqium and this was all I could get]
Anna Sui Purse
Makeup Bag [Freebie from Chicks at The Flicks Event]
Leopard Print Scarf [Usually tied to bag handle]

FOA Lip Quench in Power Surge
FOA Lip Liner in Red
Lip Brush
FOA Liquid Eyeliner
Kink Gloss in Ruby Red
Eyeshadow Brush
Kink Eyeshadow in Champagne
Kim Kardashian Roll on perfume
Lancome L'Extreme Mascara in Black
Maybelline "Baby Lips" in Smoothing Cherry
Generic Nile File

So there you go voyeurs lovelies, its not very interesting, but it's my handbag.

Check out Michelle's handbag here

NOTD: Bee-Utiful.

Tomorrow I am heading off to Dungog for the Dungog Film Festival.
I'm not going to celeb watch or even to view a few short films.
But I will drool ever-so-subtley if Mr Hugh Jackman is present.

I am heading out to help the gorgeous Miss Suzebee at the Festival Markets.
Suz E Bee candles are all natural, home rolled/poured beeswax candles.

In preparation of my role as a retail assistant, I have gotten into the spirit with a "Bee" inspired manicure. I think it's pretty cute and turned out better than I expected being completed freehand by a total newbie [Me]

Introducing, the claw...

Base Colour: ORLY in "Gumdrop"
White: Creative in "Cream Puff"
Black: Maybelline Express Finish in "Onyx Rush"
Yellow: Face Of Australia Luxe in "Lemon Sorbet"

The idea isn't my own - found it here but updated with Suz E Bee logo, my own colours and lack of a steady hand.

My New Baby

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to my new baby:

This is, to be honest, the best lip balm I have used in a while, I am a stickler for Paw Paw to repair my damaged lips.

The packaging is just so cute! Reminds me of 80's street style graffiti and being a child of the 80's it was love at first sight. The cost was a huge plus too, just $3.95 and comes in 4 flavours
 -Energizing Orange

-Smoothing Cherry
-Menthol
-Anti-Oxidant Berry

I chose Smoothing Cherry because I am a sucker for anything "Cherry" flavoured - its in my top three along with Vanilla and Mint. But I would definitely like to try the Anti-Oxidant Berry.

As most of you know, my day job involves me being in the sun and wind a lot so choosing products which have a good SPF are important to me. This little one has an SPF of 20 so it protects my lips from the harmful UVs I encounter daily.

It took less than a day for my lips to feel rejuvenated.
My lips have been an embarrassment this winter - nothing has helped bring them out of their coma until Baby Lips came to town.

I have been using the balm as a lip conditioner under my liner and gloss.
I would suggest using as a conditioner or before bed as it's a balm it leaves a residue on your lips like a thin grease rather than a gloss.

What cheap but effective products have you tried recently?
