Review; Soap & Glory - Hand Food

I have the hands of an overweight 60 year old man.
Seriously.
I have chubby sausage fingers, wrinkly knuckles and uneven skin tone.
Not to mention the dry, scaly skin that refuses to disappear.
It's a genetic thing, my mother has ugly hands as well.

Most of my childhood memories of my mother is her applying her trusty lanolin cream to her hands. I learnt early on that to make the most of the unlucky genetics I had to take care of my hands.

Introducing… The most astonishing hand cream ever!

Yes. Really.
Since I was 11 years old I have slathered on a ridiculous amount of hand creams.
With a differing variety of pricing, ingredients and promises.
I didn't think anything could help me, I was a lost cause.

But...

Soap and Glory Hand Food is amazing.
My hands are left feeling moisturised for hours, without the sticky residue left by some.
It is non greasy, and with ingredients such as Shea Butter, Macadamia Oil and Marshmallow it smells delicious too

I use this multiple times a day.
As you can see by the photos, this tube is just about empty.
It's my second tube in as many months.

My skin has been very dry since moving to cooler weather and I usually suffer with cracked skin in these conditions.
Since using Hand Food regularly, my skin has maintained it's moisture and overall my hands are so much softer.

I am considering trying it out on my feet.

Hand Food is a thickish cream, but it absorbs quickly and leaves no sticky residue.

Add Soap & Glory; Hand Food to your Winter Must-Haves.

Review: Susie Burrell App

You have all read about my ongoing [very bumpy] journey to goal weight, and part of that process has involved researching best diets, looking for new and best technology to keep me on track and give me a boost, and listening to those in the know.

My twitter feed was a content barrage of information, some good, some bad, and some very very weird. I started following Susie Burrell AGES ago - a friendly tweeter who, despite being incredibly busy, answers question, gives advice and motivates the masses.

I can honestly tell you that I have never opened the App Store as fast as I did when I heard Susie Burrell had released an app.

I wasn't sure what to expect, I thought maybe it would be her website in App form [Which BTW app developers - is NOT an app, it's a bookmark]

The app opens into an introduction - 3 small paragraphs.
That is it, no long winded autobiography, no name dropping, just the facts.

The "Lose Weight Fast" section is my favourite, input your desired calorie plan, and the work is done for you. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks all sorted for you.
The only thing not done is the shopping.

[Perhaps a deal with Woolworths for your next update? - purchase ingredients from the app?]

Don't want a meal plan? No worries.
The recipes section will have you absolutely salivating over your iPhone.
Low Calorie Pumpkin Soup? YUM!
And here is a hint, It is SO EASY! Two ingredients. Yep.

And the negatives?
Lack of choices, There is no way to edit according to dietary requirements (like Lactose Intolerance) or dietary choices (Like being a vegetarian).
But, for a free app, I'm not too concerned.

I would definitely pay for app that allowed customisable options, especially from a dietician I admire such as Susie Burrell.

As for my weightless journey? No biggest loser success stories here, the past month has been an incredible roller coaster of emotions, none of which I will be discussing here, which led me to no exercise and a whole heap of non-eating followed by severe binges and back.
Back on the wagon again, eating correctly, and exercising right.
Doing a 5kg challenge with my BFF - 5kgs by 21st May.
Easy.

Follow Susie on Twitter, and make sure you download this app - Free from the App Store.

Review; Tan Off

If you are anything like me, you will indulge in a spray tan [or 12] over the course of summer to get that sun kissed glow without the skin cancer. The downside to spray tans is that unlike suntans where the tan gradually fades, spray tans become patchy as they age and fade.
Tan Off
This used to mean scrubbing several layers of skin off with a mix of lemon juice and bicarb soda.
I was lucky enough to recieve a Tan-Off mitt at the ABBW and it's a pretty nifty invention.
Streaky Tan or Vitiligo?
See above? That is what I was dealing with a week and a half after my spray tan.
Still a few days before my next tan appointment I began the Lemon juice/Bi Carb prep when I remembered the Tan-Off mitt.
I have to be honest. I didn't think it would work.
By rubbing the wet mitt along your wet skin it would remove all your tan without shredding layers of skin? I don't think so, sounds way too easy.

Slightly red, but tan free
Once again, I was proved wrong.
With just a few strokes the tan had noticeably shifted without being abrasive to my skin.
The orange side of the mitt is for light exfoliation, whilst the black is stronger.

I used the orange side, the black was not needed at all.
My skin was left slightly red but disappeared after a few minutes, and was nicely exfoliated.
I am now tan free and ready for my next application.
Old tan stains. Ew. Rinsed right off - Yay!
The glove itself is easy to maintain.
Just hand wash with water, and leave it to dry before packing it away.
The Tan-Off mitt should last you 6 months, depending on how much you use it.

Tan-Off can be used on any kind of fake tan to even out or remove. Or, use it before application to help exfoliate your skin for a smooth application.

Tan Off retails for $24.95

NOTE: A comment from the lovely Tegan raised the point of what is IN the mitt to have it remove the tan. Tan-Off does not contain any chemicals, it is a special weave of fabrics which makes it more effective at tan removal than a loofah or washcloth.
From their website:
"After many hours of trials and research, we have found it! We have developed a fabric made up of two different weaves that will erase sunless tanning residue and which is also kind to the environment. The fabric weave is the most significant part to the removal process."

Review; Chic Australia Contour Powder

I heard about Chic Australia Baked Contour Powder via Press Release, I don't buy into these and prefer to sample products myself.

I looked into them and saw nothing but rave reviews.
They have even been featured in Famous & Cleo mags.

Baked Contour Powders are made from Mica, Kaolin Clay, Mother of Pearl, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide and Silica.

I bought Chic Australia Baked Contour Powder in 06 "Banksia Bloom", It is very build-able which is fantastic for someone like me who is new to contouring.
The colour is pretty close to NARS Laguna

And the swatch.

Bare in mind, this in on my inner arm which is slightly lighter shade than my face, but this is the best representation of the shade.

I do love the colour, it's pretty much perfect.

Will have to reserve it for days when my skin is looking good
Shimmer + Bad Skin = Disaster

There are 8 shades in the collection.
RRP of $49.95 from here

Whilst I was originally sent a Press Release for this product, I purchased this product direct from the website, All reviews are 100% honest. For more information, please see my Disclosure Policy

NARS: Funny Face

Whilst I never, ever thought I would be the girl who wore a fuchsia lipstick, I fell in love with this lip colour before even seeing it, I HAD to have it.

In case you didn't already know - Audrey Hepburn is my favourite Actress, with my top 3 films ever being Breakfast at Tiffany's, Roman Holiday and Funny Face.

This shade is also my first ever NARS lipstick, and it definitely won't be my last.

Beautifully pigmented, matte and non-drying of my lips, and it's also quite forgiving as my lips are not in the greatest of shape at the moment.

This one is a winner for me, doesn't clash with my new red hair as I thought it might of, and looks good with my current shade of pale skin.

Whilst it's a bit OTT for me during daylight hours, I have been wearing under my Clinique Full Potential in Peppermint Patty for a more glossy daytime/on holiday look.

Review; Garnier Body Summer

I have a confession to make.
I have always considered myself completely and utterly loyal to Palmers Cocoa Butter products, every Spring I pick up a bottle of their gradual tan moisturiser and I ignore all the other options.

A few weeks ago, my local supermarket was out of the Palmer's moisturiser - and since the Garnier was on special, I picked up a bottle.
My life was changed.

Garnier claims that BodySummer "Gradually builds a light, natural-looking tan" and provides "Intense hydration for 12 hours".
I fully support both these claims.

The formula is light and non sticky, it is quickly absorbed into the skin and has a pleasant fruity scent, which comes with the "natural apricot extract". With other gradual tanners, the moisturiser smell is often replaced with an overbearing chemical/faux tan smell, but BodySummer left only a subtle trace of that.

As for it's ability to moisturise? A+ despite being quickly absorbed, my skin continued to feel hydrated the morning after application as well as being noticeably more "sun kissed" than it did the night of application. After only 3 applications I was at my desired level of tan.

No streaks, and no transfer onto clothing or sheets, and less washing makes for a happy blogger.
My moon tan is gone, and has been replaced with a subtle tan. No Oompa Loompas here.
For those looking for a more noticeable tan fast, I would recommend heading to your local trusted salon for a Naked Tan.
However, I prefer to build my tan at home so that's where these gradual tanners are perfect.

I picked up the Fair to Medium skin - however, it does come in a Medium to Dark Skin for those lucky pre-tanned ladies [Or gents]

The even better news? The Garnier BodySummer is on special at Coles this week, 250mL bottle for $5.56 and who doesn't love a skin smart option on a budget :D

Review; Osteosupport

Remember this beautiful girl?
Well, she's getting on in age a bit [She's 12, so in dog years thats 84!]
Not as young as she used to be and it's showing.

Whilst never having been the most active dog on the plant
[She much prefers to lay in the sun, on a pillow, and being waited on hand and foot... I've trained her well?]
She was always able to jump off her bed [for food], run around the backyard [for food] and go for a leisurely stroll [with the promise of food]
Not so much these days.

These days she gets up only when she has too, won't play and her joints creak terribly when she gets up from her bed.
Not to mention, she hasn't jumped in years.

So, when Blackmore's asked me to trial a new pet supplement for Osteosupport and care I jumped at the chance to improve her life, if only slightly.

2 of these a day [wrapped in cheese]
Osteosupport

What They Say:

Natural green lipped mussel powder (Perna128®) manufactured using lower temperatures for a highly concentrated product;
With high levels of Omega 3 (EPA, DHA & ETA) for fast, effective joint pain relief for dogs.
Includes a natural source of glycosaminoglycans (Chondroitin 6 Sulfate) that are key nutrients required for cartilage production to aid joint care.
Measured capsule dose that’s easy to give to your pet.

and 3 of these.

 Osteocare

What They Say:

With Glucosamine Sulfate & Chondroitin Sulfate, these tasty kangaroo chews provide everyday joint care, helping to improve joint function and health in younger dogs and older dogs with early arthritis symptoms.

What we say:

Whilst it's hard to pinpoint whether it was one individual product or a combination of the two, there has been a considerable change in her movement.
She is not as stiff as prior to the trial, nor do you hear her joints and bones creak when she stands up or stretches
P is still unable to jump up, or go on any extended walks, however, she is playing with [and keeping up with] the Poodle now which was a very rare occurrence before and she is able to run short distances in the backyard.

The supplements were very easy to administer.
2 Capsules of Osteosupport which we hid in either cheese, or pieces of chicken
and 3 Osteocare "chews".
For someone who doesn't eat meat very often, the Chews smell disgusting - Would strongly recommend adding some kind of mint or something to them. But P loves them and thinks she is getting pretty spoilt by having 3 treats every day.

We participated in this trial for a 3 week period, giving her the Osteosupport capsules daily.
We did lapse slightly in the Osteocare chews, and are still going with them.
Products can be given separately or in conjunction with each other.
Will be looking at repurchasing when out of the Osteocare chews.

Prices start at 50c a day for small dogs.

And for a list of stockists

Don't forget dolls, Blackmore's PAW Giveaway ends midnight tonight!
So, if you haven't entered already, Do it!
Your pet will love you for it!

And here is the proof, She is now able to get off her bed SO much easier than before.

Please excuse the dodgy filming/lack of editing - Trying to get my gorgeous girl to perform on cue is like pulling teeth, couldn't have her climbing on and off her bed for a decent [unshaken] take. The Poodle on the other hand is part circus performer, but I was always warned never to work with animals or children.

And yes, I was persuading her with food, is there any other way?

Osteocare and Osteosupport were provided as part of a product trial. This has in no way influenced my review. To see my Disclaimer, please click here or here to contact me.

Review; Paw 2 in 1 + Giveaway

Meet Oliver.

My dog has this insane ability to find something foul smelling in my backyard all.the.time. We can never find what it is, nor would we probably want to.
As a puppy, he was bathed at the groomers every 4 weeks.
Now, because he is a toddler, he is messy and smelly and can't last 4 weeks between baths, so I have to do it at home. Boo!

Someone is obviously thrilled to be photographed mid bath.

Did you know that Blackmores have a range of "cosmetics" and health products for your favourite four legged family members?
I didn't, until I was sent this for review a while back
[BAD, BAD Blogger! Sit, Stay, Blog!]

What they say:

Formulated for all adult dogs, PAW 2 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo is pH balanced for adult dogs with healthy skin, using pawDerm® technology that combines:
  • Hypoallergenic sulphate free gentle cleaners for an effective gentle clean without irritating or stripping natural oils from the skin.
  • Rich moisturising & nourishing conditioners to soften, detangle & enrich the coat & skin.
  • Natural essential oils of lavender & jojoba to nurture the skin & provide a fresh pure scent.

What We Think:
First up, the smell. It is amazeballs. Usually dog shampoos are very chemically "scented" and disappears only for the Wet Dog smell to linger after dry. The Lavender is not overpowering and leaves Puppy smelling delightful for days.

Having a dark coloured dog, it becomes very obvious when a product disagrees with his skin, there was no dry spots, no flaking, his fur did not dry out even after blowdrying and he didn't scratch afterwards. Just like a good conditioner, his poodle curls were lovely and glossy and I didn't even have to groom him after - WIN!

All in all it left him delightfully scented, flake, fuzz and itch free.

Check out their website for more information on available products and stockists.

Rawr. I'm a scary, nice smelling, poodle

So now Oliver is free to nap, and roll, and play all over the furniture because he smells absolutely devine.

Now you have the opportunity to get your, erm, paws? on this Pet Friendly Shampoo, along with a PAW Product Hamper [valued at RRP $200] thanks to PAW and Blackmores.
[And yes, there are products for Kitties as well!]

NOTD: Cafe Latte

I picked up this colour back in June when I did a bit of a haul at Priceline.
Since then, I put the shades in a "special spot" so I would remember to swatch them ASAP.
Guess what?
I forgot where I put them.

So, without further ado, I present Models Prefer in "Cafe Latte"

Firstly, I love the brush. In theory. It is wide and reminds me of Rimmel.
I should love it. I don't. It has very hard plastic bristles which do not hold the polish and it was impossible to get a decent "swipe" onto the nail.

Once you actually get the colour onto your nail the formula is fantastic.
It isn't the quickest drying polish so you do have to be careful not to dent or smudge whilst drying.
Dry, the polish has a lovely sheen and would look amazing with some Konad designs over it.

I do love the colour, and the name suits it really well.

The Models Prefer range have some fantastic colours and at $5.99 they won't break the bank.
I will repurchase because the formula is good, the colours are fabulous and I can always use a pre-loved Rimmel brush for application, IF the other brushes are just as bad.

As always, these were photographed with 2 colour coats and no top coat.

Review; Recharge Serum

You know what I love?
Fabulous Tweethearts with AH-MAZ-ING Products to back it up.

Twitter is definitely THE place to hang to hear all about the newest and the best in anything.

Just over a month ago, I entered a Twitter competition with Be in AWE Skincare who was giving away a bottle of their Recharge Serum to their 100th follower. I followed, and re-tweeted, and since I never win anything I was completely shocked when I received a tweet from the lovely Leah telling me I was their 100th follower. Wow.

To be completely honest, I had never heard of Be In AWE previous to this competition, however, after using this product, following them on twitter, and doing some research online I am pretty impressed.

On to the product:

I received a full size bottle [50mL] of the indiraa Recharge serum

What They Say:

The Recharge Serum is a highly sophisticated peptide serum effective in minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

indiraa Recharge Serum contains SYN® AKE, a potent anti-wrinkle peptide and Malus domestica (apple stem cell) extract; a patent formula which won the 2008, BSB ingredient of the year. These are combined with Hyaluronic acid, Embilica officianalis and Gotu kola for a truly rejuvenating effect.

A synergistic blend of potent peptides and anti-oxidants, this serum is used to promote a firmer, more youthful-looking complexion.

Indiraa, the essence of youth

Active Ingredients: SYN® AKE, Malus domestica (apple stem cell) extract, Hyaluronic acid, Embilica Officianalis

What I say:

The first thing I noticed about this product was the smell, to begin with it reminded me of Aniseed [blergh!] , however, it is more of a musk scent and disappears once product has dried.

The serum is a gel like consistency and is very light on the skin, much like a primer.
I have been using this after applying my GlycoPeel Overnight Exfoliator and my skin is feeling pretty amazing.

For all those lovelies concerned about nasties in their beauty regime, fear not.
Be In Awe "believe skin care should be free from potential irritants and harsh chemicals" my sensitive skin can definitely back up this claim, I have had no breakouts, no redness, no irritation. Yay!

My only problem with this serum is it's lack of availability.
According to their Website their stockists are all in Victoria, which just means I will need to stock up on my trips down south.
After reading this blog post from Rebecca Powne  [Founder of Be in AWE skincare] I now understand why they choose to sell exclusively through stockists, perhaps a loyalty card for customers to re-purchase online though? Especially for us poor Novacastrians

Do yourselves a favour and follow these lovelies on Twitter

Review; QV Shampoo & Conditioner

I was recently lucky enough to participate in the QV Shampoo & Conditioner trial. I have been using these products exclusively for 2 weeks and this is how it went:

What QV Skincare Says:

QV Gentle Shampoo
To cleanse and purify hair
Soap free to gently cleanse and purify hair
Ideal for cleansing and purifying hair and scalp, this gentle formula is pH balanced and designed for use on sensitive skin, while delivering a beautiful healthy finish to your hair.

Free from fragrance and botanical extracts
Free from soap and colour
pH balanced
Ideal for sensitive skin

QV Gentle Conditioner
With Pro-Vitamin B5
Locks in moisture, free from soap and colour
This gentle conditioning formula helps to lock in moisture without leaving product build up. QV Gentle Conditioner delivers a soft manageable result, even on sensitive scalps.

Free from fragrance and botanical extracts
Free from soap and colour
pH balanced
Ideal for sensitive skin

What I Say:

Whilst my skin is sensitive and I get the rare bout of scalp dryness, my only real complaint is scalp itchiness. This is usually limited to after being exposed to chlorine, chemicals or after I've had my hair dyed, so I was pretty interested to see how this Shampoo/Conditioner would go at cleaning hair and looking after my scalp because they aren't always mutually exclusive.

I wash my hair every 2-3 days to rid of product buildup, but can usually get 4-5 days between washes before the dreaded grease shine halo appears.
The formula of the shampoo wasn't dissimilar to most. This is a clear liquid with a slight gel feel and was without fragrance. The shampoo did a decent job of stripping product build up without drying out my hair.
The formula of the conditioner was more of a cream than the gel like shampoo. The formula is fragrance free, and despite having a slight chemical smell on application it quickly disappeared and did not linger on rinsed hair.

Neither products caused any irritation or dryness, In fact, I had the opposite, I was needing to wash my hair MORE because it would look greasy within 1-2 days.
However, on my dry scalped sister she did not have the same problem and loved this Shampoo/Conditioner.
As I have mentioned here before, I am not incredibly monogamous when it comes to Shampoo/Conditioners and whilst I do swap and change I would be unlikely to purchase this in the future. QV Shampoo and Conditioner would be much better suited to those who suffer with dry scalps, it adds too much moisture for us regular scalps.

The packaging is sturdy and is still in tact despite being dropped. I definitely prefer the "upside down" bottle for ease of use. After 2 weeks of use there is still a substantial amount in the bottle, this would last quite a while.

This product retails at $9.95 for 200mL from Priceline and Pharmacies across Australia

This product was sent for review consideration. This has not in any way influenced the review. Please see Disclaimer for more information, of if you would like me to review your product, click here

Review: Goblin

I don't own many green polishes.
Sure, I have a couple of Mint's and a couple of olive "infused" colours but nothing in-your-face-innapropriate-for-work type green's.
Then I found this baby.

I was heartbroken the day my N.Y.C in "Lemon" literally smashed.
It was a gorgeous pastel yellow and applied like a dream.

Goblin is that same awesome formula.

Pros:
Formula applies easily
Non Streaky
Quick Drying
Cheap [$2.45]
Great for Nail Design/Konad

Cons:
Need at least 3 coats to be opaque on acrylics
Way too out there for day wear

As always, Polish shown is 2 colour coats and no top coat.

Review: Italian Red

I am a sucker for buying pretty things. But add "Italian" to the name of something and it becomes a "Lexi Must Have" item.

Back in my teenage years, I delevoped an addiction to Red nail polish. Wore it EVERYDAY. Once I finished High School I threw them all away and vowed never to wear red polish again.
I have, but very rarely. In fact, I have only owned one red polish since.

You all know how much I love China Glaze, so when I came across the name "Italian Red" I knew I had to have it. It conjured up images of red wine, sports cars and hot Italian men....

Pros:
The colour - It is a Vibrant Red
Dried colour is true to bottle
Non Streaky

Cons:
Like most red's, it is a little difficult to remove without staining.
I would need 3-4 coats to cover white acrylic tips

This is a solid red, no shimmer.
Pictured is 2 coats of colour, no top coat

And it goes perfectly with this:

Definitely need MOR Italian in my life :D

Review: China Glaze "Coconut Kiss"

Put your hands up if you have seen "He's Just Not That Into You?"
Keep them up if you LOVED Gigi's nails? That amazing purple that you HAD to have.

Remember this scene?*

Well, this isn't it.
This is a dupe. But it is MUCH more accessible for us Aussies than the original [Nubar in "Pasadena Purple]

I don't know why this shade is called "Coconut Kiss" - With a name like that I would of expected a white or a matte brown shade, not a gorgeous vibrant purple hue.

China Glaze in "Coconut Kiss"

Pros:
Opaque in two coats
         Metallic but no obvious shimmer
Once dry the polish is true to the colour in the bottle
Works well as full colour or as decoration

Cons:
Seems to be thinner than other China Glaze polishes.
Looks streaky on application [like most CG polishes, it disappears once dry]
Not so great for Konading as it is a thin formula

This is definitely a new favourite.
China Glaze is probably one of my favourite polish brands at the moment, great range, great price and the product always delivers.

*Sorry for the poor quality scene grab - iPhone camera + TV Glare doesn't make for great images.

Review: Paraffin Hand Treatment

It is no shock to any of you when I say I have acrylic nails, you all see my NOTD posts.

When it comes to my nails I am very OCD and usually have them removed & re-applied every two weeks, it isn't viable for me to have natural nails as they are ridiculously weak [despite trying most "strengthening" treatments]
I have been getting Acrylics for 10 years so when I find a fabulous technician I stay with them [until I move and have to start again]

My current tech has been doing my nails for over a year. She is fantastic.
As part of the service for her VIP [favourite] customers, she includes a Paraffin Hand Treatment after application.

After 30 minutes of nail removal, filing, buffing and drilling my cuticles are always a little worse for wear. For those who have no experience with Acrylics, it is not advisable to use cuticle oils as oil tends to "lift" the acrylic which leads to breakage and/or loss of the nail - which is not a good look.

Shrek Hands?
From top left to bottom right - showing how wax solidifies

How does it work?

The technician places your hands into a container of warm wax, they may bring them out and re-dip to ensure there is a heavy coating of wax. After a few moments they bring your hands out and place them into a plastic wrap.

At this stage a warm cloth or towel is placed over your hands to keep you relaxed. After a period of time the cloth is removed and as the wax cools it contracts and slightly solidifies.

Once this is completed the technician removes the wax by lightly massaging and pulling the wax from your wrists down off your fingertips, it generally comes off in one piece as the wax does not completely harden.

The treatments take around 20-30 minutes and are said to soften skin/cuticles, soothe & relax and brighten skin. It is fantastic in winter, it is warming and it returns lost oils to dry skin.

What is it made of?

The wax is cosmetically formulated and has a lower melting temperature than other waxes. It contains Paraffin Oil , as well as Vitamin E and other nourishing oils with some choosing to add scented oils for relaxation purposes.
Whilst Paraffin Oil is a by-product of petroleum, it is of food grade and has been refined for cosmetic purposes.

At first I was reluctant to have this treatment because of the chemicals. However, it is the same product used in a lot of other areas of the cosmetic industry - lipstick, hair products, creams etc - I have heard rumours of a more natural treatment however I have yet to confirm this, or find a salon that performs it.

How do I get one?

Paraffin treatments are available for hands, feet and even for facials. They vary greatly in price [and procedure] from salon to salon, however, most nail salons will have a package for a Manicure + treatment.

What I think?

Despite my initial hesitation due to chemicals I am a complete addict now.
I probably would not purchase as a one off - but as a bonus with a manicure, or as a package with another item [facial, pedicure, massage] I think it is a great extra to consider.
Six hours after my last treatment and my hands are still feeling silky soft, my cuticles look healthy and my skin is a more even tone.

Review: Arbonne Lip Polish

What they tell us:

Looking for that sexy pout? Arbonne's rich Raisin lip polish provides colour and gloss so when paired with a fresh face, is sure to give you the look of the catwalk.
Luscious lip polish glides on silky smooth and delivers superior shine without the stickiness

What I think:

I am a new fan of Arbonne since attending a "Swiss Cosmetics Workshop" late last year, so I am aware of, and support, their policies [use of botanical ingredients, not tested on animals etc]

The colour is gorgeous and is very on-trend for winter.
The formula glides onto your lips, is non sticky and has an above average staying power - however, this could be increased by using a conditioner or lip primer.

Whilst it appears to be semi-glittery within the tube, on lips it radiates as a shimmer rather than a glitter, which is picked up better in natural light rather than artificial, and unlike some "shimmer" glosses, you are not able to feel the grittiness of the glitter within the polish.

Natural Lighting

And the negatives?

It would be advisable to wear either a nude, or a plum liner, as it is a deep lip colour, it can bleed.

Artificial Light + Flash

How Much?

The Raisin Lip Polish RRP is $36.00 for 5.9mL
